S-BR’s Structural Engineering Team provides performance. The cranes are part of the largest expansion in the port’s history. Plans include lengthening the Southport Turning Notch from 900 feet to 2,400 feet to allow for up to five new cargo berths. Construction for the $471 million project is ongoing and will be completed by late 2022.
